Doctoral Studies

I believe that WORDS and IMAGES are the most powerful forces on this planet, that a dynamic STORY has the ability to start wars, unite foes, and launch a BRAND that resonates deeply with consumers. This idea is so important to me that I achieved a doctorate in Mythological Studies, with an emphasis in Depth Psychology, during my quest to understand how words and images impact the human psyche, both individually and as groups within the culture. In my doctoral work, I have developed new approaches to predicting cultural trends, which have added to my understanding of what motivates people today - the real thrust behind every successful brand and marketing campaign.

 

Leading Strategist/Writer/Producer in Direct Response 

I was compelled to learn more about STORY and IMAGE after nearly two decades as an executive at several of the premier direct response television companies, including as Supervising Producer for Guthy-Renker and Quantum Television. Now a successful independent Strategist, Writer and Creative Producer in both the advertising and direct marketing industries, I determine with you what is your brand personality and key messaging points that resonate with your broadest target audience. I write long- and short-form television scripts and, together with my partners, create content that can live anywhere: in the digital world, on TV and beyond.

 

My doctorate is not the only reason I am referred to as the “Show Doctor” – more to the point, I am often brought on to turn around or revive struggling, or totally broken, campaigns. I took a failing infomercial for a new skincare brand and turned it into a thriving business, increasing revenues by 54%. I did the same for a business opportunity, taking a marginal long form and increasing response by 25%, making it difficult for the company to keep up with response.

I am motivated by what motivates others and bring a deeper level of connection between your BRAND and your target audience, resulting in greater and longer lasting sales potential. The sky IS the limit!
